Apply to Substitute a Vehicle Designated in a Taxi/Private Hire Car Licence
Use this form if you need to change a vehicle currently licensed as a taxi or private hire
Cost of application
- £30 admin fee
What you will need:
- An insurance certificate, endorsed for public or private hire use
- An M.O.T. certificate (applicable for all vehicles over 1-year-old)
- Pages 1 & 2 of the Vehicle Registration Certificate (V5C)
- A partnership agreement if applicable
You are advised that there is a fee of £40 for a substitution test, £25 without a test, £100 for any retest and £10 in respect of failure to attend pre-arranged tests. Fees are payable by card at the relevant Fleet Operations Depot.
