Apply to lease land for a trading concession (including catering)
Use this form if you are looking to lease land to operate a catering concession that is not an established site for a trading concession and is not on the adopted highway.
You must complete a separate application for each individual site.
For existing catering concessions that are available, please visit the Public Contracts Scotland website and search “Fife Council” as the buyer and “catering concession” as the keywords. Once you have registered as a supplier, set those terms as an alert for notification by email of future opportunities as they become available. It will be necessary to register as a supplier before submitting an offer. You will need to know the following information before starting this form:
- street address of the land you wish to lease and identify its location by a what3words reference
- if electricity is required on the site and what will be used e.g. diesel or petrol generator, battery, solar, or mains supply.
If your application is successful and a lease or licence to occupy is concluded authorising you to use the land in the Council’s capacity as landowner, you will be responsible for obtaining the following before you commence trading:
- planning permission
- public liability insurance for a minimum of £5 million in respect of each individual claim
- a street trader’s licence
- PAT (portable appliance test) certificates in respect of any portable electrical appliances
- gas safety certificate in respect of any equipment that uses gas
You will also be asked to upload the following documents:
- an Ordnance Survey Plan, other map, or dimensioned sketch showing the site with a scale of 1:1000 or 1:1250 and which identifies the location of the site and access to it from an adopted road.
- a photograph of the vehicle, trailer or other structure that you wish to trade from

The fee for this application is £165 and is non-refundable.
