Apply for a lease of land for use as a contractor's compound
Use this form if you are looking to lease land for use as a contractor's compound.
Applications must be submitted more than 14 days before the proposed start date of the lease.
In exceptional circumstances, an application may be considered less than 14 days before the start date, for which an additional non-refundable charge will apply.
You will need to know the following information before starting this form:
- address of land you wish to lease for use as a contractor's compound
- description of the land you wish to lease
- the value of the contract for which the compound is required
- public liability insurance details
You are responsible for obtaining any statutory consents that may be required including planning permission and a building warrant.
There will be a charge for both a schedule of condition and an inspection of the land following termination of the lease. The land must be reinstated to the condition at the date of entry as evidenced by the schedule of condition.
You will also be asked to upload:
- an Ordnance Survey plan or other map (to identify the land you wish to lease)
Cost of application
A non-refundable charge of £165 must be paid when you submit your application plus a further £165 contribution to the Council’s costs and expenses in managing the transaction if terms are agreed.
An additional non-refundable fee of £250 will be required if the proposed start date of the lease is within the next 14 days.
The application fee, £165 or £415, is non-refundable, even if the land is not owned by the Council. Please, therefore confirm Council ownership before submitting your application.
