Councillors at Levenmouth Area Committee have agreed a contribution of £30,000 towards the cost of installing a Changing Places Toilet (CPT) at the Temple Car Park in Lower Largo.

CPT facilities support a vulnerable group, who require additional facilities, to allow them, their families and carers to enjoy leisure time whilst on holiday or on a day trip to the area.

Councillor Colin Davidson, Convenor of the Levenmouth Area Committee, said: “It’s an exciting development. This is a really welcome addition as it supports people who are disabled but is also the last stop on the coastal path before you get to Shell Bay and Elie.

“We get thousands of visitors on the coastal path every year and this will only increase as the railway brings more and more visitors to Levenmouth.

“I want to thank everyone who has worked hard to try to get this off the ground and I look forward to seeing this amazing facility in place.”
