Following a public consultation with local residents, Fife Council has unveiled the new design for Denfield Avenue play area in Cardenden.
The £100,000 play park is being funded by the Scottish Government.
Over 70 people took part in the consultation and the final design takes on board their suggestions and choices.
The new design is made up of a variety of equipment which will mean there will be something suitable and accessible for everyone, including a five-way swing with flat seats and toddler seats, boogie spinner, animal springers, double car and two-tower rope bridge. As a result of the feedback, we’re also adding football goals to the grass field.
The tender for the play area will hopefully go live during May and, depending on the weather, will be complete later this year.
Councillor Linda Erksine, Fife Council s spokesperson for communities, said: “A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the consultation to let us know what they would like to see in the new play area. The new equipment will be suitable and is accessible for everyone. I look forward to the new play area being ready later this year.”
