“We’re currently carrying out a consultation where the community can let us know their thoughts on the design and the play equipment that they would like to see included as part of it.

“I’d encourage as many people as possible to take part and have their say by either filling in a short survey at https://haveyoursay.fife.gov.uk/communities/cook-street-play-area or by picking up and returning a paper copy of the form to St Clair Church, Dysart, no later than 4 May 2025.”

Councillor Ian Cameron Convener of the Kirkcaldy Area Committee added: “We’re delighted to be able to help towards the funding for the refurbishment of the much-loved Cook Street play area.

"We’re committed to creating spaces that are safe, fun, and inclusive for all families in our community. This consultation is an important step in ensuring that the new play area meets the needs and desires of local children and parents. We want to hear from everyone so that together, we can create a place where children can play, learn, and grow."

Dysart Community Council Chairperson concluded: “Please join us in shaping the future of our play park. Your feedback is essential to creating a fun, safe, and inclusive space for all our children and families. Let's build a park that reflects our community's needs."
