Today (5 February 2025), South and West Fife Area Committee endorsed The Forth Bridges Area Tourism Strategy Delivery Plan 2025-2029.
The delivery plan outlines several key initiatives designed to enhance the visitor experience and encourage visitors to stay longer and spend more in the area. These include the development of new tourist attractions, improvements to existing infrastructure, and enhanced marketing efforts to promote the unique heritage and natural beauty of the Forth Bridges area.
Area Convener, Councillor David Barratt, expressed his enthusiasm for the plan, stating: “We’re committed to making the Forth Bridges area a premier destination for tourists. This Delivery Plan reflects our dedication to investing in our communities and ensuring that visitors have access to world-class attractions and services.
“The committee is excited to see these plans come to fruition and is confident that they will have a lasting positive impact on the area.”
Approving the Forth Bridges Area Tourism Strategy Delivery Plan is anticipated to greatly benefit local businesses. By enhancing the visitor experience, the plan aims to increase revenue for local shops, restaurants, and service providers - supporting economic growth and job creation in the area.
