Work is complete to Saline Community Centre, improving the facility for the local community.
What began as a necessary repair to a leaking roof has led to nearly £500,000 of improvements, ensuring the centre remains a valuable resource for years to come.
The project, which started in January 2024 and concluded in November 2024, involved replacing the pyramid-shaped roof with a new mono-pitched roof and fitting replacement tiles to the existing pitched roof. Additionally, external render around the building has been replaced and on the inside there's been general decoration, new lighting, and new floor coverings. Fife Council’s Building Services carried out the works in conjunction with local contractors.
Councillor Linda Erskine, spokesperson for communities and leisure expressed her enthusiasm: "The improvements at Saline Community Centre highlight our commitment to ensuring our facilities cater to the needs of the communities they serve."
Nestled in the heart of Saline, the community centre is now better equipped to serve as a go-to destination for various activities. Whether you're seeking a space for your club, planning a family celebration, or looking to launch a community group, Saline Community Centre offers the perfect facilities to meet your needs.
