Celebrate International Women’s Day with free community events across Cowdenbeath area

We love IWD, International Women's Day (love is depicted as a heart symbol).

This March, communities across Cowdenbeath, Benarty, Kelty, and Lochgelly will come together to celebrate International Women’s Day 2025, with a week of free events designed to inspire, empower, and connect women of all ages.

Taking place from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th March, the events will feature a mix of dance sessions, craft activities, guest speakers, and an afternoon tea, offering a fantastic opportunity for local women to meet, share experiences, and celebrate achievements at the following locations:

  • Monday 3rd March – Maxwell Centre, Cowdenbeath (10am - 1pm)
  • Tuesday 4th March – Benarty Centre (9:30am - 12:30pm)
  • Thursday 6th March – Kelty Community Centre (12 - 3pm)
  • Friday 7th March – Lochgelly Centre (10am - 1pm)
