Rosyth to become a 20mph zone

Starting this November, most of Rosyth will become a 20mph zone for traffic.

Drivers are being asked to observe the new speed limit to improve road safety in Rosyth. We’re working in conjunction with Transport Scotland who are introducing 20mph on the A985(T) Admiralty Road. From next week, we’ll begin installing road signs making people aware of the new speed limit.

Welcoming the news, Councillor David Barratt, Convener of South and West Fife Area Committee said: “We want to keep people safe on our roads. By introducing these new measures, we aim to improve accessibility for all and encourage more people to walk, cycle and wheel in Rosyth.

“We ask drivers to please observe the lower speed limit and help everyone feel safer travelling in Rosyth.”

The Temporary Traffic Order is for 18 months and applies to the following roads:

  • Castle Road From its junction with A985(T) King’s Rd Roundabout in a southerly direction for a distance of 100m.
