It was a night of celebration at the Rothes Halls last week at Fife Council's Fife Business Diversity Awards.
Now in its 22nd year, the Awards celebrate Fife's Employability Pathway provision, the success of people who have faced overwhelming challenges on their journey to find and stay in work, and employers who created diverse workforces by providing opportunities for all.
Fife's Provost Jim Leishman attended the event along with over 100 guests, including nominators, nominees and guest presenters.
The six awards and award winners were:
- Healthy Workplace Award: Bronze - The Cottage Family Centre; Joint Silver winners - Babcock International Group and Waste Operations Team, Fife Council; Gold - Fife College
- Employability Award: Bronze - Fife College & Supported Employment Service Partnership; Silver - Lone Parents, Poverty & Work, Fife Gingerbread; Gold - Life Chances, Fife Job Contract, Fife Council.
- Achiever Award: Bronze - Breaking the Cycle Employability Group; Silver - Aimee Latto; Gold - Stephen Otto
- Health and Disabilities Employee Award: Bronze - Euan McNaught; Silver- Jan Orzeg-Wydra; Gold - Katie Farmer
- Adult Employee Award: Bronze - Neil Dickson; Silver - Stuart Chesby; Gold -Michael Hamilton
- Young Person's Employee Award: Bronze - Serhii Kluichnykov; Silver - Katie Lawson; Gold - Holly Jane-Gray.
All shortlisted nominees received a certificate of achievement, gift voucher and FBDA 20224 mug, made by Milly McCrombie.
Bronze, Silver and Gold winners received framed certificates, gift vouchers and mugs. Gold winners also received a sensational hand crafted and unique award made at Skills Development Centre Supported Employment Training Unit by Karen Brown and people who attend the unit to progress on their journey to work.
Fife's Provost Jim Leishman congratulated all the award winners: "Well done to everyone involved in supporting people into work, and congratulations to all the worthy winners."
