CHILDREN, young people and families are set to take part in a summer of fun thanks to new activity programme.

With seven weeks this year to enjoy summer, you don’t need to venture far from your own doorstep to have a fun packed, active summer.  Fife Council’s enjoysummer website provides a fantastic range of activities and experiences suitable for all ages and interests throughout Fife this summer.

From dance, theatre and craft days to a variety of sports and para sports camps for our young people to health/buggy/family walks, sailing and paddleboarding for the whole family there is something for everyone.

Paul Vaughan, Fife Council’s Head of Communities and Neighbourhoods, said: “As a Council we’re committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of our communities and we want people to enjoy what’s on our doorstep. That's why we continue to fund programmes that offer free or reduced cost activities, to help keep children, young people and families active through the summer, without having to worry about affordability.

“Fife has some fantastic parks and coastal walks for everyone to go out and be active.  The enjoysummer website brings together a wealth of inspiration for fun, free and reduced cost activities in Fife.”

For another year, Fife Sports and Leisure Trust will be offering popular activities to get more young people active, more of the time.  Families can take advantage of Quid-a-Kid Swimming, Football and Racquet Sports across the trust’s facilities.  For even more activities visit  Go Fife.
