Councillors from Fife Council Cabinet Committee have given their support to the White Ribbon campaign at Fife House in Glenrothes. signing the pledge to ‘never to commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women’.
Laura Pearson, coordinator of the Fife Violence Against Women Partnership said: “We’re delighted to have the opportunity to speak to councillors as leaders in our communities. We thank them for their support.
“By talking more openly about our zero-tolerance approach and challenging negative and derogatory language we can all play a part in working towards ending violence against women.”
