The Community Development Team is excited to announce they are working in partnership with Fife Voluntary Action to support local community groups through a series of weekly drop-in surgeries across the Cowdenbeath area.
These sessions will provide valuable advice on running community groups effectively, including committee support, working with volunteers, publicity, funding, and more.
Here's where and when you can drop in:
- Lumphinnans Bowling Club: Wednesday, 26th June
- Lochgelly Centre: Wednesday, 3rd July
- Kelty Community Centre: Wednesday, 10th July
- Crossgates Community Centre: Wednesday, 17th July
- Hill of Beath Community Hub: Wednesday, 24th July
- Benarty Community Centre: Wednesday, 31st July
- Bowhill Community Centre: Wednesday, 7th August
- Cowdenbeath Maxwell Centre: Wednesday, 14th August
Drop by any Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Community groups looking for guidance on any aspect of how to manage their group are encouraged to drop in at any of the scheduled locations. This initiative aims to strengthen local groups by offering tailored support to meet their specific needs. Whether it’s help with the committee, managing volunteers, getting the word out, or finding funding, staff at the drop-in sessions are there to help.
We're also planning a one-day Funding Roadshow later this year. We'll share the details on the venue and date soon, so keep an eye out!
