Abbeyview Community Hub Family Fun Day

Fife Council welcomes the local community to the Abbeyview Community Hub Family Fun Day on Friday, 18 October!

This event will mark the grand opening of the brand-new Abbeyview Community Hub, a vibrant facility designed to be at the heart of the Abbeyview community.

The fun-filled day will offer something for all ages, with a variety of activities and entertainment planned from 11am – 3pm:

  • Live entertainment: Groove to the beats with DJ Andy, keeping the energy high all day long!
  • Kids' activities: Little ones will be in for a treat with soft play, face painting, airbrush tattoos, a bouncy castle, inflatable darts, and more exciting surprises.
  • Information and signposting: Learn about local services and support, from adult education and welfare advice to youth programmes and tips on staying active and healthy.
  • Family activities: Get the whole family involved with activities like archery, tennis, pickleball, boccia, and many other games for all ages and skill levels.
  • Tasty bites: Savour homemade soup, indulge in hotdogs, or roll up your sleeves and create your own pizza masterpiece!
  • Interactive workshops: Unleash your artistic side with hands-on sessions in flower arranging, decoupage, and arts & crafts.

Councillor James Calder, Convener of the City of Dunfermline Area Committee, encouraged everyone to come along, saying: "The Family Fun Day will be a fantastic way to celebrate the opening of the Abbeyview Community Hub. This new facility will be a great asset for the community, and we’re excited to share it with everyone."

The Abbeyview Community Hub offers a wide range of services, including a multi-purpose activity space, community function rooms, a teaching kitchen, IT suite, and much more. It is set to become a bustling centre of activity for local residents.
