Roadworks on Windmill Road, Kirkcaldy

Later this month, Fife Council will invest £90,000 improving the road network in Kirkcaldy.

We’ll be carrying out carriageway resurfacing on Windmill Road, Kirkcaldy from Monday 27 February 2023 for up to two weeks.

Cllr Altany Craik, Convener of Economy, Tourism, Strategic Planning and Transportation Committee said: “We maintain over 2,400 km of roads in Fife, and we are spending millions each year repairing and improving them.
“Our road network is vital to support economic development, inward investment, tourism, leisure, and travel to work. Everyone in Fife uses our roads daily, which is why this type of maintenance work is so essential.”

We’ll be resurfacing Windmill Road from the junction of Loughborough Road to the pedestrian crossing at the junction of TheRoadworks on Windmill Road, Kirkcaldy Fairway. Works will be carried out Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5pm.

A phased road closure will be in place for the duration of the works and a diversion route will be signposted.

There will be access for emergency services but access for residents and businesses will be at the discretion of the contractor.
