Following the fire at Canmore Street, Dunfermline, yesterday evening (21 April) the city centre remains very much open for business. However, some road closures are in place, affecting both vehicles and pedestrians.
- Canmore Street is closed (west)
- Guildhall Street is closed to vehicles, but remains accessible by pedestrians
- St. Margaret Street is closed (north end)
- Abbot St/Maygate (east)
Public safety is the council’s top concern, and our building standards team is working hard to assess the building structures. The immediate surrounding area is cordoned off until a further review can be made.
