These temporary changes were made to help encourage people and businesses to continue to use and enjoy the pedestrianised area.

The confirmed arrangements are:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday

No vehicles will be allowed on to the High Street between 11am and 5pm.

Blue badge holders, Fife Demand Responsive Transport vehicles, and delivery vehicles only (loading and unloading) can access the pedestrian zone before 11 am and after 5 pm.

Tuesday, Thursday, Sundays

Blue Badge Holders, Fife Demand Responsive Transport vehicles, and delivery vehicles only (loading and unloading) can access the pedestrian zone all day.

Area Convener Councillor Ian Cameron said "The Committee agreed back in January 2022 to make the temporary changes permanent. Following this we held a consultation, and no formal objections were received. We believe that as this temporary change was in place for over two years before it was agreed to make it permanent, we’ve had enough time to make sure we've been able to get a good balance for both exempt vehicles and pedestrians.
