Lots of transport options with the words Have your sayon Fife Council's Local Transport StrategyFife Council is asking for feedback and comments on the region’s vision and action plan for managing Fife’s transport system over the next ten years.

In 2022, Fife Council asked local people, businesses and visitors to tell them about their experiences and challenges when getting around in Fife. The council has listened, taken the feedback on board and produced a Draft Local Transport Strategy.

The council is now asking people to review the strategy and complete a short 10-minute online survey.

The survey opens on Monday 20 February and will run for 6 weeks, closing on Monday 2 April 2023.

There will be a series of open events for people to see, discuss and ask questions on the Strategy:

  • Mercat, Kirkcaldy: Thursday 2 March 10:00-14:00
  • St Andrews Bus Station: Tuesday 7 March 16:00-20:00
  • Kingsgate, Dunfermline: Saturday 25 March 10:00-14:00

Councillor Altany Craik, Spokesperson – Finance, Economy & Strategic Planning, Fife Council, said: “Transport gives us access to work, education, and essential services. It shapes the places we live, impacts our health and wellbeing, but it is also one of Fife’s biggest sources of carbon emissions.

“Your views, ideas and experiences have already helped us to shape a strategy to support our communities with fair, sustainable access for all. We are now asking as many people as possible to respond to our survey. Tell us if we are best meeting the needs of our local people, businesses and visitors.”
