The 2023 UCI World Cycling Championships will take place across Scotland between 3rd-13th August 2023. One of the highlights of the championships, the UCI Men’s Elite Road Race will pass through Fife on Sunday 6th August on its route from Edinburgh to Glasgow.
Fife Council and the UCI Cycling World Championships are inviting members of the public to attend a drop-in session to find out more about the impact of the UCI Men’s Elite Road Race.
Below are the details of Fife’s Business and Community Engagement Session:
- Tuesday 11 July, 12:00pm – 14:30pm
- Culross Stables Community Hub, 1 Balgownie W, Culross, KY12 8JL
Representatives from UCI Cycling World Championships and Fife Council will be on hand to answer any queries about the event. Members of the local community will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding areas such as local traffic restrictions, parking and spectating.
An online information session has also been organised for local communities to find out more about the impact. This will be hosted by organisers, UCI Cycling World Championships and SweetSpot.
The online session on Wednesday 19 July 19:00pm – 20:00pm will focus on the impacts to Edinburgh, Fife, Clackmannanshire and Falkirk.
The online session will follow the same format as the drop-in session:
- a short presentation on the elite road race routes, road closures, opportunities to spectate.
- an opportunity for Q&A.
