Leven high street shops and services are largely back in business and open to the public.
Some restrictions on pedestrian access and parking remain in place within the town centre, with signage being installed tomorrow (Thursday).
Roads are largely reopened. Exclusion zones – with barriers and fencing - remain in place around the buildings affected by the fire. There is no access to this area via the High Street or South Street. Road closures also mean no public access between Poundland and The Crown Inn.
Disabled Blue Badge holders can continue to park on Mitchell Street and round into Durie Street during permitted times. The Council continues to review access and parking.
Community safety officers will be on patrol, and can reassure local people that safety is our key priority.
Fife Council continues to work with the owners of the affected properties, and any firms affected can also access advice via Business Gateway Fife.
