Asphalt being laid on a roadFife Council is to start improvement works on the A915 between Upper and Lower Largo next week.

The work will involve upgrading the road and pavements as well as improving drainage to help prevent historic flooding issues in the area.

The road will remain open to traffic but a convoy system and traffic lights will be in place for the duration of the work which is expected to last around three weeks.

Fife Council's lead consultant Andrew Geddes commented: "This work has been in our plans since 2020 and has been delayed for various reasons including the Open Golf at St Andrews. We appreciate there will be some disruption for the local community and thank people for their patience while we improve the roads in the area."
