Parking charges

Please note that parking charges can vary. Information is available on the ticket machines and information boards at each location.

If you park outwith these times, there will be no charge, unless signs tell you otherwise. This means that any money paid either before or after these charging times will be added to the length of stay of your ticket.

Example: Purchasing a ticket for 4 hours at 5pm in a car park, where charges apply from 8am to 6pm, means your ticket would expire at 11am the next day.

Blue Badge holders and Motorcycles are free to park in any of our spaces without the need to purchase a ticket. Blue badge holders can also park for as long as they need, without having to observe the time limit.

Fife Council Parking Charges

I have a motorhome/campervan - can I park?

Yes, you can park at any car park, as long as your vehicle fits in the bay. Normal parking charges will apply. If your vehicle takes up more than one space, you will have to pay for two spaces.

How do I pay for parking?

Most of our ticket machines only take coins as payment. If you don't have cash, we have a contactless payment option through RingGo available in all our charged car parks. This allows anyone with a Smartphone to pay for parking using an app.

All you have to do is download and register on the RingGo app. This will then provide you with payment options for the car park you’re in (using location services). The location codes are printed on each of the payment machines so you can confirm it’s the correct car park when using the app.

Once you’ve used the app once, it can save your details, making it easy to pay for parking on future trips anywhere which operates RingGo.

Parking on Public Holidays

Parking is free on 25th and 26th December and 1st and 2nd January. All other public holidays are charged/enforced as normal. The tariff inserts on the ticket machines on each site will state the charging period of the parking location.

Parking fines

If you fail to display a valid ticket for the full duration of your stay, you will receive a penalty charge notice. Please visit our Parking fines page, for more information.
