Fife Council uses the personal information provided by you when you apply to become a volunteer with Fife Council:
- To enable identification of a suitable volunteering opportunity for you
- To help us ensure you receive appropriate support and training during your time volunteering with the Council
- To pass on information and communicate with you on any issues relevant to your volunteering placement
- In emergency situations
- In monitoring and reporting levels of participation in volunteering
- To gain feedback on your experience of volunteering with us
We hold and process the information on the basis that you have freely given us your permission to do so.
The personal information we gather and use includes name, contact details, date of birth, gender, emergency contact information, previous work/volunteering experience, education and training, skills and qualifications, details of referees, PVG membership.
We may share your information with third parties/agencies and/or other Council Services who will be working in partnership with us to deliver services in which you are volunteering.
