Fife Council uses the information provided by you within your event application form for the purposes of processing your application. Your information will only be used for administrative purposes relating to your application and the subsequent event. We hold and process the information on the basis that you have freely given us your permission to do so.
Our legal basis for processing your information is for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the Council.
The event application requires us to gather personal information about at least one of the main event organisers. The application form requests your name, address, and contact details. If the main organiser is under 18 years old, we will also request their date of birth.
Depending on the type and size of the event, we may share your information with other Council Services and with external partners and agencies involved in delivering services on our behalf, or alongside us. Where this occurs, the processing is done in order to fulfil our obligations and to ensure the safety of the public and compliance with relevant legislation.
In the event we did not request and use this information, it would not be possible to process your registration or complete your booking.
