A location plan shows the proposed development site in relation to its surrounding properties. It must be based on an up-to-date map and at an identified standard metric scale (of 1:1250 or 1:2500).
The plan must be capable of identifying the application site and the relationship to neighbouring land and it should include the following:
- Drawn to a recognised metric scale of 1:1250 or 1:2500
- An accurate scale bar
- At least two named roads (where possible)
- A north point
- The names and numbers of surrounding properties
- The application site boundary must be outlined in RED on all copies and all proposed works must be within this red line boundary
- Any other land owned or in the control of the applicant should be outlined in BLUE
- An up-to-date Ordnance Survey licence
Note: Any plan that contains the disclaimer of “Do not scale” will be rejected - Plans for planning purposes must have a reliable accurate scale in order to be assessed.
