Main Entrance

The new campus is a high-quality designed building which is highly functional, sustainable and fit to meet the needs of the Scottish Government’s “Curriculum for Excellence”. The building has an approximate floor area of 26,918m2 and ample external areas including car and bus parking, external sports provision including all-weather pitches.

The building has a single public entrance to welcome all visitors to both schools while each school will maintain their individual pupil entrances.

The school building has been designed to Passivhaus Classic standard and is a low carbon, low energy use and a sustainable facility.

The project was delivered in conjunction with Hub East Central and Property Services provided client support services.  DLC took part in a Scottish Futures Trust Pathfinder project for the implementation of the Net Zero Public Sector Building Standard, to trial the emerging guidance and tools to aid delivery of net zero public buildings.
