The Fife Council Communities and Neighbourhoods Service aims to encourage people, both individually and collectively, to make positive changes in their own lives and that of their local communities.
The service specifically focuses on:
- Supporting the development of stronger, more resilient influential and inclusive communities
- Improving the life chances for people of all ages through learning, personal development, and active citizenship
Volunteering is key to achieving these ambitions and is a vital part of all that we do to make Fife a better place to live, work and visit.
Our Vision
The Communities and Neighbourhoods' vision for volunteering is to help local people to live happier, healthier, and more fulfilled lives through volunteering.
This links with our mission to provide volunteering opportunities designed to develop and enhance the skills knowledge, experience, and wellbeing of all participants.
Opportunities
There are several volunteering opportunities within Communities and Neighbourhoods, including roles within ESOL, ABE, Computer Skills, Youth Work and Gaelic development. Each has a role description which outlines the relevant duties and expectations associated with the post.
