Townhill Primary is led by Mrs Janine Pirouet in a Joint Headship with Inzievar Primary School. There is 1 depute headteacher, Mrs Jilly Murray, who has overall responsibility for primary 4 – 7 and an acting depute Mrs Cara Cook who has responsibility for Nursery – P3. We have 10 class teachers, a support for learning teacher and an art teacher. We also offer brass instrumental tuition from primary 6. The very active nursery is staffed by 1 teacher and 6 early years officers.
We have high expectations for all of our pupils, and we offer a wide range of extracurricular activities, both sporting and musical, for all our pupils.
We work closely with parents to provide the highest possible standards of education for all pupils. We consult regularly with parents, welcoming all valuable contributions, to ensure our school is continuously improving.
Our parent council works closely with staff in promoting the school in the community and improving all aspects of school life. Our parents are very enthusiastic and active in running fun activities for the children and parents, as well as fundraising activities.
