St. Ninian's primary opened in 1926 to serve the Catholic community, is situated in the village of Bowhill within the area of Cardenden. As a denominational primary school, it serves the wider catchment area of Kinglassie to Cluny. The school enjoys a high standing in the local area and has a significant number of placing requests.

The building can accommodate 6 classes and a 30-place nursery which runs from 9.00am -3.00pm during term time.

The nursery accommodation consists of a classroom with access to a large well laid out garden. The staff have developed strong links with the local community. Good working relationships are also in place with the professionals from the local health centre.

The nursery class provides 30 places for 3- and 4-year-olds. The main intake is in August with further intakes in January and April when children reach the age of three.

Pupils and adults who have mobility difficulties can access all areas of the school via ramps and an internal stair lift.

Daily Timetable

Our nursery and primary school day is 9.00 am - 3.00 pm

Primary pupils will have their break time from 10.40 am - 10.55 am and their lunch from 12.35 pm - 1.20 pm

School Uniform

The school aims to set a high standard of dress, behaviour and respect. Parents can help us to achieve this by supporting the school dress code. Wearing school uniform helps children to feel equal, encourages a sense of identity with the school community and helps to foster a sense of pride. We ask that all children dress appropriately for school by wearing : -

• white shirt and tie or polo shirt
• black skirt / trousers
• red school sweatshirt or cardigan
• black school shoes or trainers(90% black).

All children will be required to have a white shirt and school tie for special occasions.

All items are embroidered with the school badge, are of a high quality and offer sound value for money.
