Welcome to St. Margaret's RC School family. We hope that this is the start of a successful and happy journey through the education process for you and your child.
The notes in this booklet will tell you something about St. Margaret's, but there are a few areas of great importance that I wish to highlight.
Everything we do in St. Margaret's is based on a shared value system with Christ at the centre. We teach the children respect for self, for others and for our environment. We reinforce these teachings through giving our pupils our respect.
Our curriculum is focused on enabling our children to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. These are the four capacities in a "Curriculum for Excellence". This is a document you will become very familiar with in the years to come. Our aim is that, through working in partnership and with honesty we can ensure that our children are given the opportunity to succeed, are happy and are encouraged to become responsible citizens.
Our school uniform plays a very important part in our School Ethos and in helping us to ensure the safety of our pupils. The distinctive blue sweatshirt / cardigan is easily identifiable both in the playground and on school outings. We have tremendous support from our parents for our uniform policy and I am sure that you will wish to be part of that support.
All members of our school family are very proud of our school and we hope you will be happy when you join us.
