Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome to St Joseph's Primary School family.

We hope that this is the start of a successful and happy journey through the education process for you and your child. The notes in this booklet will tell you about St Joseph's.

At St Joseph's everything we do is based on a shared value system. We teach the children respect for self, for others and our environment and promote Gospel values. The Charter for Catholic Schools over the page outlines the guiding principles of our work, here at St Joseph's.

Our curriculum is focused on enabling our children to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. These are the four capacities in a "Curriculum for Excellence", which strives to bring learning to life.

Our aim is that through working in partnership we can ensure that our children are given the opportunity to succeed, are happy and are encouraged to fulfil their potential.

A Charter for Catholic Schools in Scotland

The mission of the Catholic school is to develop as a community of faith and learning, providing the highest quality of education, and offering formation through the promotion of Gospel values, through celebration and worship, and through service to the common good.
