Southwood Primary School serves the Macedonia precinct area located in the West of Glenrothes.

The school building has adaptations for Children with Additional Support Needs, catering for children who have severe physical impairment and severe communication difficulties.

The school has a very good relationship with the Parent Council and is fortunate in having an extremely supportive Fund Raising Group. Good links are established with a range of groups in the local community.

Daily Timetable

School hours 9 a.m. - 3.05 p.m.

• Interval:   10.40 a.m. - 10.55 a.m.
• Lunch break: 12.35 p.m. - 1.25 p.m.

Nursery Hours: 4 hours 40 minutes per day

• Morning Session:     Monday to Friday 8am - 12.40pm
• Afternoon Session: Monday to Friday 1.20pm to 6pm

School Uniform

We encourage our pupils to wear school uniform. The uniform consists of a navy sweatshirt with logo, white shirt / polo-shirt and black/grey/navy trousers or skirt.
