South Parks Primary School

At South Parks Primary pupils, staff, parents and the wider community work in collaboration to create a positive learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. The school is fully accessible on the ground level for people with mobility problems. Facilities include 2 x disabled toilets and changing facility.

The main school building is well maintained and houses 12 classrooms and 3 Nursery Playrooms.

There is a main central hall with a stage. The hall is also used as a dining hall and for a variety of activities including assemblies. In addition to this, the school has a gym hall, library, ICT suite, staff base, main office, Headteacher's office and Depute Headteacher's office.

Play areas include an extensive grassed area and hard-surfaced areas and there is a purpose-built play area for Nursery children. In recent years some areas of the playground have been developed to extend teaching and learning beyond the confines of the school building.

The school also has a Hearing Resource Base.

• Morning Session Nursery: 8.00 a.m. - 12.40 a.m. (49 WKS)
• Afternoon Session Nursery : 1.20 p.m. - 6.00 p.m. (49 WKS)
• Full day Nursery: 9.00am - 3.00pm (38 WKS)
• 2 yr old Nursery - Morning session - 9.00 am - 12noon
• 2 yr old Nursery - Afternoon session - 12noon - 3.00pm
• 2 yr old Nursery - Full day sessions - 9.00am - 3.00pm

• Yellow polo shirt with South Parks badge. Plain yellow or white polo shirt.
• Royal blue sweatshirt with South Parks badge. Plain Blue sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan.
• Black trousers/skirt
• P7 only - School tie and white shirt (ties available from the School Office)

Children are encouraged to be provided with a PE kit, including a t-shirt, shorts and gym shoes. If PE is taking place outside in inclement weather, suitable joggers or leggings and a jumper is advised. Hooded tops and any team colours e.g. football strips are not permitted.
