At Rimbleton Primary School our vision is:
To be the best we can be.
This vision is embodied in our school’s aims to:
- Create a welcoming and attractive learning environment, where learning and teaching is fun and all are safe, happy and nurtured.
- Enable the growth of aspirations and ambitions of all pupils.
- Prepare our children for life beyond Rimbleton Primary.
Our Values guide the way we work.
Together we will:
- Respect all by using manners, kindness, understanding and integrity.
- Look after each other and the world around us.
- Create a learning environment that embraces all.
Every class has their own Class Charter which represents the value system within each classroom. These charters are all linked to the Rimbleton Values Safe, Kind, Respectful. These values are also core to the whole school positive reward system.

Values Superstars
Every week pupils nominate other pupils in their class who they have witnessed being Safe, Kind or Respectful. The class then discuss these nominations and collectively decide on who should be the Value Superstar of the week and receive the certificate at Together Time.
Pupil Responsibility and Celebrating Success:
Reward System
The whole school positive Reward system is based around our values of Safe, Kind, Respectful.
Each class has three folders labelled Safe, Kind and Respectful. Children will receive counters when they are displaying these behaviours. These will be put into the corresponding folders. At the end of each week the total number of counters will be calculated. The totals will be announced at weekly Together Times.
At the end of the week each class will add up how many counters they have earned as a whole class team. This will highlight the Safest, Kindest and most Respectful class in the school each week and the winning classes will be able to negotiate with their teacher a suitable reward.
Every time a counter is received a house point is given.
House System
Every child in the school is aligned to a ‘house’ - Fire, Water, Air or Earth. Each house will be appointed a House Captain and Deputy House Captain from P7 at the start of the year. House points can be awarded and are collected by the house captains each week to be shared at assemblies.
Facebook Friday
This is awarded to one child in pupil each week who has consistently shown our school values of safe, kind and respectful. These pupils should be issued with a certificate and the nominees will be displayed and celebrated on Facebook.
Pupil Voice
We encourage pupil voice within our school and our pupils recognise that they too can make a positive difference to our school.
We have a Health and Wellbeing Group pupils to participate in and have their views listened to and acted upon.
Our pupils also have the opportunity to engage with our school-based Nurture Groups. These groups are flexible and respond to the needs of our children. Activities include Garden Gang, Arts and Crafts, Nature Club and Cooking Club, although currently these are now limited due to COVID and Bubbles.
