Values

At Foulford Nursery and Primary School we strive to be Responsible, Respectful, Kind, Inclusive and to Achieve our goals.  These are our core values that we strive to embed within our classes, school nursery and playground.

Our Vision:

After we collaborated with our pupils, parents and staff we created our school vision. Our vision encompasses our 4 values and highlights the importance of working together and supporting each other as a school community to ensure everyone achieves their goals. One team, One dream - aspire to be the best!

We aim to:

• Ensure that staff, children, parents, partner organisations and the wider school community work together to provide an enriched and highly motivating learning environment.

Foulford Nursery and Primary School was completed in 1976 and is semi-open plan design, similar to three other schools built by Fife Council. The design permits very flexible use of the building and offers to children a modern and pleasing environment in which to spend the first seven years of their formal education.

The school is part of Beath Cluster where all schools work in close partnership developing the curriculum and community links to the benefit of all pupils. A recognised key strength of this partnership is the self-evaluative approach and team support in working on our Journey Towards Excellence.

In 2017, the school had temporary modular units put in place to provide two additional classroom spaces and two nursery rooms.

Daily Timetable

The School Day

• Morning Session: P1 -P7 - 9.00 a.m. - 12.40 p.m.
• Interval: 10.40 a.m. - 11.00 a.m.
• Afternoon Session: P1 - P7 1.20 - 3.00 p.m.
• Nursery Morning Session: 8.00 a.m. - 12.40 a.m.
• Nursery Afternoon Session: 1.20 p.m. – 6.00 p.m.

School Uniform

School Uniform consists of:

• White or Gold Polo Shirt with black school logo, Black Sweatshirt with Gold School Logo or
• White Shirt with School Tie, Black Trousers/Black Skirt.
• A senior tie is provided for P7 pupils, which was designed by our current P7 pupils.
• Available from: BE Schoolwear, High Street, Kirkcaldy.
• P.E. Kit - dark shorts & t-shirt, trainers/gym shoes. (no football shirts please)

SCHOOL CLOTHING GRANT

We can provide free school meals and a school clothing grant of £100.00 per child if you are on a low income.

To qualify for free schools' meals and school clothing grant you must be in receipt of one of the following:

• Income Support
• Job Seekers Allowance (Income Based)
• Employment and Support Allowance (Income Related)
• Child Tax Credit only with annual income below £16,105
• Child Tax Credit & Working Tax Credit with annual income below £6420
• Support under Part VI of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999
• Universal Credit including those with a take home of pay of up to £610 per month
• Long Term Incapacity Benefit (school clothing grant only)
• Widows Allowance if not in full time employment (school clothing grant only)
• Child Tax Credit & Working Tax Credit with annual income below £69,00 (school clothing grant only

If you don't meet these criteria, but your child is in P1-3, they can still receive free school meals.

Free school milk will only be given if the above criteria are met.
