Donibristle Primary School

Working together is a key driver of our school ethos and culture and this is reflected in our strapline, “Work Together, Learn Together, SHINE Together’.

In 2021/22 our school values were revised to reflect what our learners felt were important. The United Nations Convention on the rights of the child as a Rights Respecting School is a key component of our school and will be developed further in session 2022-23.

At present, all children contribute to creating Class Charters which reflects on their rights as children.

Donibristle Primary opened in 1979.

The school is of open plan design with a roll of approximately 440 pupils and is set in extensive grounds overlooking the Firth of Forth, on the west side of Dalgety Bay.

The school is divided into 7 main teaching areas, one for each stage. Two huts were in use until June 2022. We have one remaining hut which is a multi-purpose space.

Access to the school is gained only through a full security system at the main entrance, leading into a reception area, where you will be welcomed. Full CCTV is in operation.

There is a ramped area in the school playground for disabled access to the main building. An area has also been developed to house approximately 60 cycle stands for use by pupils

School Uniform

Our school uniform is black, yellow and white. You can buy clothing with the school badge on it from Alan Santry or myclothing.com. In September each year, we place orders for P7 pupils to get their Leavers Hoodie

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and we address this through our Thrift Shop. We recycle good quality branded and unbranded school uniform and sell this for a small cost. The Thrift Shop is open every Friday from 2.30pm and is located in Pine Hut

Please note that the wearing of jewellery is discouraged and not permitted during PE lessons. Jeans/combat style trousers and hooded tops are not acceptable items of school uniform. We would also ask school shoes be worn.
