Colinsburgh Primary School is a warm, friendly and inclusive school.

Our aim is to create an ethos within the school environment where pupils, parents and staff work together in partnership to provide the highest possible standard of education for all pupils.

The children enjoy discussing our school values and are very passionate about them. Our values are displayed throughout the school and  value certificates are handed out to the children fortnightly during assemblies. We have a fantastic school values song ‘Everybody Matters, Every Step Counts’ and the pupils enjoy coming together during assembly time to sing the song.

The teachers work hard to ensure the values are referred to in class and are taught through Health and Wellbeing lessons.

Colinsburgh Primary School is located on the main road in the village of Colinsburgh. Colinsburgh is a linear village which is a mile north of Kilconquhar and two miles north of Elie.

The main school building, built in 1875, has 3 classrooms (but currently operates as 2), a main office and a dining hall. The town hall, next to the school, is used for indoor P.E. A controlled entry system operates on all external doors. The school has a concrete playground with a shelter and outbuilding to store equipment.  We have recently added some climbing equipment, a basketball hoop and planters to ensure the space is as engaging, active and nurturing as can be. Staff and pupils have regular access to the various parks and grassy areas in the village.

The school has excellent links with the community at large. Events involving the school and the community are numerous and much enjoyed by all.
