St. Andrews Nursery is a stand-alone nursery located in St Andrews. It caters for a very mixed catchment including residents of St Andrews, surrounding villages and families of students and staff from the university. Our children will move on to all three primary schools in St Andrews as well as Kingsbarns, and Largoward. We share a campus with Greyfriars Roman Catholic School
Our three playrooms provide a high standard of accommodation indoors with resources to support all aspects of the Curriculum for Excellence. We have provision for children aged two to five years of age.
There are three garden areas the nursery children use daily. The log garden has a wild meadow, with willow structures for role play, raised plots for growing vegetables, a bug hotel, a climbing wall for gross motor challenges and a picnic area for social events. The garden next to room 2, 3 and 4 is the sunny spot. It has a play house and boat for role play and a seesaw for gross motor skills. The last garden is the playground next to the entrance. It has a gazebo and various planters and seats to make a sociable relaxed area. We have recently installed a climbing tower which has a climbing wall, slide and fireman's pole. All of the gardens have additional equipment which is taken out daily to supplement the rich play.
