Interview and assessment arrangements

Selection will be by Appointment Sub Committee.  It is anticipated that shortlisted candidates will be notified by Friday 4th April 2025.

If shortlisted, you will be asked to complete psychometric testing between 7th-19th April 2025, participate in informal and stakeholder interviews week commencing 5th May 2025.

Final Appointment Sub Committee presentation and interview will be held week commencing 9th June 2025. Please note informal and formal interviews will take place in person in Fife House, Glenrothes, Fife.


Pre-employment checks

Right to Work in the UK

We have a legal duty to ensure that all Fife Council employees have the right to work in the UK.

Employment references

We will seek references covering the 3-year period before appointment.  A minimum of two references will be required, including one from your current or most recent employer.  References will be taken up for the successful candidate only.

Evidence of qualifications

All shortlisted candidates are asked to bring evidence of the qualifications to interview if they are essential to the job.

Pre-Employment Health Screening

Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory Pre-Employment Health Screening to ensure the successful candidate is fit to undertake the duties of the role.  Checks are initiated by the Shared Service Centre Recruitment Team based on job requirements and where required, information is reviewed, and assessments carried out by Occupational Health.

Provision of false information

Candidates should also note that the provision of false information or the omission of material information in their application or at interview may lead to the offer of employment being withdrawn or summary dismissal.
