Salary: £109,285

Are you a dedicated leader with a passion for sustainability and community service? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Service, Environment & Building Services to shape the future of our community and drive positive change in one of Scotland's most beautiful regions.

As Head of Service, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies, creating sustainable services that focus on local need. You will lead a large and diverse team who deliver high quality front-line services across Fife through the management of Greenspace, Building Services, Waste Operations, Street Cleansing and Fleet Services. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and community engagement.

We are looking for a visionary leader with significant experience in a senior management role, ideally with a working knowledge of the construction industry. You will have exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills and a proven track record of successful change management and service leadership.

Selection will be by Appointment Sub Committee.  It is anticipated that shortlisted candidates will be notified by Friday 4th April 2025.  If shortlisted, you will be asked to complete psychometric testing between 7th-19th April 2025, participate in informal and stakeholder interviews week commencing 5th May 2025. Final Appointment Sub Committee presentation and interview will be held week commencing 9th June 2025.  Please note informal and formal interviews will take place in person in Fife House, Glenrothes, Fife.
