Cook with the Kids
Calling all budding chefs!
Queen Anne High School Community Use is offering a new family orientated cookery class on Saturdays (11.00am until 1.00pm) starting from 28th April 2012. Suitable for children aged 6 years & over, Mum, Dad, a Grandparent or a responsible adult can also come along for this fun, learning experience. Assisted by the adult and our own tutor, children will create healthy, international dishes such as ratatouille, curry and whoopie pies (the next big craze from America!).
Children will learn how to safely chop, peel and dice fruit & vegetables, mix & knead dough and experience different cooking methods such as boiling, steaming and frying. These essential life skills will remain with children throughout their adult lives and will enhance their understanding and appreciation of healthy living.
Our 8 week course which starts from Saturday 28th April 2012 costs £40.00 with Fifestyle discounts available. A weekly cost of around £5.00 per week will be made for ingredients.
